Can we say HUNGRY DAY?
Sheesh! I am really having to contemplate any weekend plans. Not that we had any, other than eating out. That's the part I'm contemplating! After all the weeklies I've used yesterday and today, I'm going to need to be careful this weekend.
With the big breakfast that started my day, I shouldn't have been hungry again until tonight! :) Didn't work that way, though. I had a Healthy Life bun with 14 grams RF mayo and a chicken sausage. Then I decided I would saute peppers and onions in 1 tsp olive oil. When I opened the freezer to grab the peppers, I saw the potatoes and they seriously called me by my name.

Here was today's packed lunch. I had a high-fiber tortilla with 34 grams of chunky honey pb and a banana inside. I had 14 grams of pretzels, a Greek yogurt, and some celery sticks with 14 grams RF ranch.

Two of my kids, to my surprise, LOVE celery. I found this out during Christmastime while watching Mom make her dressing to go with the turkey. I knew those two wouldn't be a problem. I am okay with celery, especially when eaten with hot wings and dipped in tons of fatty blue cheese. Haha My two oldest kids and my husband had never tried celery before. Oldest daughter managed okay. Middle daughter hated the wrap and the celery, bless her heart. She still ate it, but she did complain and take an hour to do so. LOL I only gave 4 celery pieces each to the kids who I didn't know whether or not they liked celery. Knowing that the hubby is an adult and would be harder than the kids, I gave him 3 small pieces.
In complete honesty the little liar took the celery out one stick at a time and HID THEM in his hand, trying to pretend like he ate them! ROFL. He really had me fooled. But then I noticed his ranch had not been touched. CAUGHT YA! So then the fight was on. He was so mentally not prepared for celery. LOL Here he is before hand. Notice he is eating it along with a pretzel. Haha
The verdict?
Yes, that's my gorgeous man. Hahaha I love him so much because he used plenty of his ranch and got down the 3 celery sticks and agreed to eat more next week. What a trooper! I just love torturing him. :)
Speaking of men... why is it that we women always want to cuddle and our men just always want to sleep? Look, even my poor girl kitty couldn't get our boy kitty to wake up and cuddle with her. MEN!
Supper tonight was such a battle. I knew the husband would be dreading celery and actually used it against him to try to get him to bring home pizza for lunch. I'M AWFUL, I know! So then we both had pizza on the brain and wanted it for supper. I wanted Little Caesars and he wanted Papa John's, so we compromised. I had one slice of each kind. I started with 1 slice of Italian Cheese Bread but ended up eating another one, too. At first, I was really upset with myself for this. Then, I reminded myself that I normally eat 4 slices of pizza without blinking. I did have to refrain from going back for more, but I made it. I only ate those 2 slices, so I'm going to be proud of myself for that!
23 points+ with the extra bread that is not pictured.
Today is the day of the husband. He is a dork.
He walked in the kitchen like this and kept raising his eyebrows. Then he rearranged the mustache to look like one of those droopy ones that men wear.. the ones that hang down. I don't know whether to encourage him to get a hobby or enroll him in counseling. LOL
I went to Publix tonight and found a jicama! I was so excited because this year I even know how to pronounce it (hee kuh muh). But I still had no clue how to eat it! I didn't get a lot of good info from Google other than basically peel it and eat it and find other things to do with it if you want. Oh well. So I peeled it and ate it. It is odd... texture and taste are a mix of an apple and pear. Not at all what I expected. I had no trouble eating it. I don't know that I would buy it routinely, but I wouldn't turn it down and it was fun to try something new.

WW ice cream bars were on sale tonight at Publix, b1g1 free. $2 a box, people! I really wanted to eat one, but they are 3 and 4 points+ each. I just didn't want to go there. But I feel like I'm starving!!! And I wanted something sweet. I made the husband tell me where he hid the last 2 packs of Fun Size M&Ms and ate one of them. I also started making myself some Bedtime tea.

In a nutshell: I am sooooo overly disappointed in how many points I ate today - 50 points+! I really wouldn't mind if today was Saturday and I ate that many. But my points have to last me until Tuesday at bedtime. I am still very much able to stay within my points for the week... it'll just be more difficult. I had 3 high-points meals today. On the bright side, I had a nutritious breakfast and lunch, tried a new veggie, and even stayed down to 2 points+ for dessert. It's a day, and it's over. Hopefully tomorrow, there will be no need for toenail munching! :)
I hate days like that and it seems like they come around way too often, good thing that don't stay. Btw, your hubby's a nut!
ReplyDeleteHahah I love the pics of the hubs he is too funny!! Yay for healthy lunches! I like celery with peanut butter on it and even raisins for ants on a log! But I was hungry as a horse yesterday too...I just rolled with it. I went over calories but oh well today is another day, every day is a clean slate! And yes I too can eat like 4 pieces of pizza without bliking! Its crazy how much I enjoy it...lol
