If anyone's out there, HELLO! I can't help but notice how lowwww the hits on my blog are on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week. Come Monday, the numbers pick up again. That's okay. You can leave for a few days - just come back! ;)
For those of you who asked me to post the recipe for Chicken Upsidedown, just check out the recipes tab at the top of my blog. It's already posted! Be warned that it is NOT a healthy recipe, but oh my word it's good. I only make an 8x8 serving because we have discovered that we can't be trusted with a 9x13 pan in this household! Lol
Today was much better than any Saturday I've had in a long time. I got up at 9:00 am. That is fine by me. I love sleeping in on Saturdays, but I hate sleeping past 9:00 because it throws off my whole day! I had a normal breakfast, a normal lunch, and then I really enjoyed eating out tonight. What's weird is now that I am cooking at home more, we actually prefer *my* food over restaurant food. Never thought that day would come! And when you only eat out like once a week, it's actually a *special* family thing... not just "another meal" where you leave feeling bloated, heavy, and overstuffed!
I was really disappointed with my breakfast. I bought these Jimmy D'Lights when they were on sale b1g1 free at Publix one week. I bought one box that comes on an English muffin with Canadian bacon. I like that one pretty well, but I don't think I would buy it again. And I bought this other kind that comes on a croissant roll, but I didn't enjoy it . It was too bready... if that makes any sense at all. So this morning, I decided it needed some mayonnaise. Having 14 grams of RF mayo on this thing was gross! It was way too much mayo. The turkey patty kept slipping out of the sandwich from being all lubed up by mayo. Lol It was a mess and I didn't enjoy it at all. What a waste of points+. The blackberries were good, though, and at least this was filling.
A bit later, I just really wanted a banana.
Lunch was a Lean Pockets pretzel bread sandwich and chips... but I had kale chips instead to save points. I have prechopped kale. I think it's too small. These are like kale confetti instead of chips, but at least they taste good .
Then we headed out to Portland, TN to sing at a friend's church meeting. It's always fun to see friends, and the kids love being around the other kids.
After the meeting, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel. I had only ONE biscuit with butter and applesauce. I didn't even struggle with it. That's a major victory in itself. Four extra biscuits sat right in front of me, and I didn't care! I did move them away from me just in case, though. Since I had 17 daily points left, 33 weekly points left, and 6 APs, I just went all out. I had the pork BBQ with a piece of grilled sourdough bread. I ate a few bread and butter pickles. My side items were the hash brown casserole and baby carrots. Oh, and I ordered one pancake, too. LOL. Told you I went all out! We were facing a table where the lady ordered pancakes. When they brought them out, the eye candy got me. I added one to my order. Can you BELIEVE that they charged me $3.19 for ONE PANCAKE???? Omw. They serve it with pure maple syrup. That's the only thing I can figure that would make anyone charge $3.19 for a single pancake. The only part I'm not proud about was grabbing up a second slice of grilled sourdough bread and eating it. It was so buttery good. It just got me. But my points restart on Monday morning.
I honestly didn't count points. Just gonna wipe out my weeklies. These are cell phone pics. Sorry. I did't feel like drawing attention to myself by using my digital on my food . Lol
Oh! I took pics while there. Youngest daughter was sitting in a rocker putting a dolly to sleep. It was so cute. Of course oldest daughter had to jump right in the picture.
So then the other 2 kids wanted their picture taken.
And then I took a picture of my poor husband. I told him it would be proof that he does wear things besides the blue work shirts. LOL He has the WORST fake smiles ever. His eyebrows do this crazy thing where they turn into an upsidedown V or something. ROFL So I kept taking shots and telling him they were no good and retaking. He was really over it. I finally had to settle for this one. :)
On the way home, I enjoyed some dark chocolate. I didn't get a picture.
Today was weigh-in. You can check out my tab for the numbers. Super happy with the results, and now I just hope to keep myself focused so I can see 209.5 once again.
In a nutshell: Did great with my water today for a Saturday. Ended up getting in my whole 80 oz. I had 4 f/v servings, unless you count the hash brown casserole and then I had 5. I didn't eat healthy this evening by any means, but I felt totally fine with having things that I wanted since I controlled my self all week and all day today. Yum. I will admit, while eating the chocolate I got that "I feel gross, sick, and my stomach hurts" feeling. I took note of that feeling mentally. I realize it's not a feeling I like. So I refilled my water bottle and chugged the blues away. :) Good night!
